The Jeep Avenger, a stylish city dweller that swept its way to several awards, is getting a much-needed mid-life refresh. Three years after its initial success, the Avenger is receiving a facelift that, while not groundbreaking, offers a range of improvements and new features. The grille has been reworked, the bumpers are new, and the interior has been updated with softer panelling. Additionally, the Avenger now comes with LED matrix headlights, a front-facing camera, and a 360-degree view, making it easier to park in tight spaces. The Avenger's new colour options, Forest and Bamboo, and the option of a black roof, add a touch of personalisation. However, the most exciting development is the introduction of four new powertrains, including an electric one with a 54kWh battery, a 48v e-Hybrid, a plug-in 4xe, and a new 100bhp 3cyl Turbo with a six-speed manual gearbox. The 85th anniversary of Jeep is celebrated with a Special Edition model, featuring logos, tartan upholstery, gold bumpers, stitching, and alloys. The new Avenger is designed to be agile in the city and adventurous in the wild, embodying the essence of 'concentrated freedom'. In my opinion, the Avenger's new features and powertrains make it an even more compelling choice for city dwellers and adventure seekers alike. However, I wonder if the new powertrains will be enough to justify the price increase, and whether the Avenger can maintain its award-winning status in a crowded market.
